Dixie D’Amelio’s Account Deleted After Suspected Hack

By now everyone or almost everyone on TikTok is familiar with who Dixie D’Amelio is. The TikTok star gained popularity with fans this year emerging as the 7th most-followed account this year. It is therefore not news that someone might try to gain access to her 46.2 million followership account.

For those who are not yet familiar with Dixie D’Amelio, Dixie is the eldest of the D’Amelio sisters. She is a social media personality, a singer, and a writer. She is best known for her videos on TikTok. The star made her TikTok debut shortly after her sister Charli led the way. She featured in the Brat series Attaway General.

Why Dixie’s Account Has Been Deleted

Users can no longer access Dixie’s account as they are now greeted with an error message that reads “user doesn’t exist.” The 19-year-old TikTok superstar had over 46M followers before the ‘hack,’ and 1.6 billion likes.

How Much Money Does Dixie D’Amelio Make?

Before the account was disabled, several TikTok clips were posted on her page. The account’s bio was also updated to read “follow @koiiddd”. The first clip was a mouse ‘benching’ a trap with the caption “preparing to hack Dixie.” The second mentioned The Chuckling Squad. It’s the same online hacker group that hacked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account in late 2019.


Several of the deleted clips also referred to an unknown user, “Joe,” as well as a private Instagram account with the handle “lucifer” that has more than 11k followers.

Dixie came out to say that perhaps her password was too weak, saying so on the TikTok room who initially shared the news. Dixie’s father soon suffered the same fate as his daughter, his account also going through the same process. The message left on his was “F**k the D’Amelios”.

Dixie’s account has not been re-enabled but the admins are working around the clock to get it back online. Restoration of the account is sure to keep her millions of followers intact, no worried about that.

A writer on NY magazine has come out to confirm the news of both Dixie and her father’s account restoration via a tweet. She claims to have had inside information telling her the accounts will be restored soon.

This is not the first time TikTok’s biggest stars have been taken down by hackers. It only brings to mind doubts about the credibility of the app. Should this continue, they could see a massive decline in clients as time progresses.
